Smile Of A King Foundation
'Every king deserves to smile'
ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION
Smile Of A King Foundation was started in memory of Tashan Solomon King. Tashan was a 24-year-old male who sadly died by suicide on the 6th of February 2022. Some of Tashan's family, friends and his basketball coach came together to start the foundation to help support the mental health of the black men in our community. Playing basketball was one of the passions that brought joy and happiness into Tashan’s life, this motivated us to host yearly basketball games in his memory but also to help raise funds for the foundation.
We work with qualified counsellors who can provide counselling sessions to the men who enquire through our charity. With the help of public donations and charitable funds, we will pay for these counselling sessions. We want men to know it is okay to talk about their issues or what they may be going through in life, without the stress of worrying to cover the costs.
